Release Notes: Perimeter Application Updates

staffPerimeter Staff – March 27, 2025

The Perimeter team is constantly working to enhance our application based on customer feedback and need. On Thursday, March 27th, we implemented the following changes. No application update or download is required to access these changes.

Routes

  • We have added an additional route option titled Route that is marked as a blue line in order to support situations such as detours, etc.
  • Users can tailor what is seen at perimetermap.com in the Title and Description fields of the data element.

Polygons

  • We have updated the zone type from Repopulation to Ready/Safe to support those states and counties using the READY/SET/GO strategy.
  • We have removed the Zone information from the map legend at perimetermap.com to avoid any confusion or ambiguity with users in the community.

Points

  • We have added a Get Directions button to all points at perimetermap.com.
  • This button will open the default mapping solution (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) on their device which will provide turn by turn navigation to the selected point.
    • NOTE: Road closure information from Perimeter is not currently integrated to these solutions, however, it will be updated based on crowd sourced feedback.
    • We are exploring a direct integration to these solutions and will update when we have additional information related to this effort.

As always, please contact Van Riviere at van@perimeterplatform.com or by telephone at (209) 483.1513 if you have questions or encounter challenges of any kind.

Sincerely,

The Perimeter Team
