The Perimeter team is constantly working to enhance our applications based on customer feedback and user experience. On Wednesday July 9, 2025, we’ll be releasing an update to the Perimeter Internal Web App (app.perimetermap.com). No app update will be required.
Free-form Routes
Users now have an option to create Free-form Routes, where anchor points can be placed freely without snapping to roads. This feature gives users the flexibility for marking fire trails, walking paths, or roads not yet mapped.
Please note: Standard routes & free-form routes cannot be combined. To switch route types, a new route must be created.
Preplanned Zone Enhancements
- Edit Restrictions: Users are now restricted from editing the shapes of preplanned zones imported from GIS, helping reduce errors and preserve data integrity.
- If you would like to update your preplanned data, please contact Perimeter Support.
Smart Link Detection
- Improved hyperlink detection for email addresses and phone numbers across the platform for easier usability.

- Minor UI/UX Improvements
