Mobile App Update v26.10.1

Perimeter Administrators and Stakeholders:

On Monday, October 19, 2026, we’re releasing a beta test of User Location in the Perimeter Mobile App. Your team will be able to see where responders are, in real time, directly on the Internal Perimeter App.

How Teams Use It

  • Personnel Accountability: Confirm where users are in the field during active incidents or planned events.
  • Situational Awareness: See responder positions in relation to what’s happening on the ground. Manage your resources and identify coverage gaps.

Privacy & Controls

  • Off by default: No location data is collected until an administrator turns on location services for the team in Team Management.
  • Responders choose: Once an admin enables it, each user decides whether to share their location. Admins can’t turn sharing on for an individual.
  • No location history: Perimeter shows current locations only. We don’t currently store or share historical location data.
  • Live status: Locations update about every 60 seconds. A user who stops transmitting shows as disconnected after 5 minutes and drops off the map after 12 hours. Perimeter will display their last known location until they reconnect.

About the Beta Test: We’re releasing this capability as a beta so we can improve it based on how your teams use it in the field. A setup guide for administrators and field users is available on request. It will cover how to set up the feature, required device permissions, and profile settings.
