New integration eliminates manual file transfers, helping public safety agencies communicate faster during critical incidents
SAUSALITO, CA – Nov. 2, 2026 – Perimeter today announced a new integration with Everbridge that enables emergency managers to seamlessly use evacuation zones created in Perimeter to send targeted notifications through Everbridge.
Evacuation zones created in Perimeter now flow into an agency’s Everbridge shapefile library. Exporting and importing files between the two systems too often created a bottleneck for emergency managers overseeing complex incidents. The integration is the first product of a technology partnership between the two companies established in October 2026.
More than 9 million acres burned nationally during wildfires in 2026, roughly 143 percent of the ten-year average, and NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center forecasts a strong El Niño through early 2027. These conditions bring with them an elevated risk for fast-moving evacuations.
Sheridan McClellan, Emergency Management Services Manager in Wasco County, OR, shared that “Wasco County used the integration during the Grasshopper Fire this summer. The fire burned for more than two months, and we were updating evacuation zones and notifications over a five-week stretch. The integration saved our team hours and helped us get information to the community fast.”
“Emergency managers wake up every day ready to make hard decisions under pressure to keep the rest of us safe,” said Bailey Farren, CEO and co-founder of Perimeter. “Our job is to make sure software is never the thing standing between that decision and the people who need to take action.”
“Connecting the technologies public safety agencies rely on is essential to a coordinated response during emergencies,” said Brian Toolan, Vice President of Public Safety at Everbridge. “Our integration with Perimeter helps eliminate manual steps, streamline workflows, and enable agencies to communicate critical information to the communities they serve faster and more effectively.”
Joint customers can enable the integration today. Reach out to your Perimeter or Everbridge point of contact for setup instructions. Both teams will be at the IAEM Annual Conference in Long Beach, California, November 9-11, at booths 316 and 429.
