Perimeter CEO Bailey Farren was nominated for the 2020 Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award for her work bringing real-time geospatial technology into the hands of first responders.

The annual Pritzker Award recognizes scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers, activists, and artists under the age of 40 who have demonstrated the potential to make a substantial impact on environmental harms across the world. The winner will be selected by a panel of UCLA faculty from a collection of 21 nominees, and will be awarded $100,000 to support their environmental work.

Farren was nominated by Steve Westly, founder and manager of The Westly Group, one of the largest sustainability venture firms in North America. Westly awarded the 2020 Westly Prize to Perimeter co-founders Farren and Noah Wu in January in recognition of their work as early-stage social innovators in California.

This year’s Pritzker Award winner will be announced on November 14.
