Release Notes: Perimeter Internal Web App Update

We are excited to announce the release of our first AI feature. On Wednesday April 8, 2026, we’ll be releasing AI-Generated Descriptions to the Internal Web Application.

AI-Generated Descriptions
This feature helps users quickly generate Descriptions and Public Notices for Polygons, Routes, and Points.

• Generate – When only minimal inputs are provided (Title and Data Type), the AI generates a clear, generic description optimized for speed.
• Enhance – When users add descriptive context, the AI incorporates that information to refine urgency, location clarity, and phrasing without inventing new details.

Built Specifically for Public Safety

• Our model was trained using FEMA-aligned best practices to format your message and generate a structured output.
• When minimal inputs are provided (title and data type), the AI generates a clear, generic description optimized for speed.
• When more details (such as time, cause, urgency, location or resources) are added to the description or public notice, the AI uses this context.
• We built this feature with strict guardrails. The AI will not speculate, assume, or add information that was not provided. Your agency controls the final message.

This is a completely optional feature. If you prefer to write descriptions manually, nothing changes.
