Release Notes: Perimeter Mobile App Update

The Perimeter team is constantly working to enhance our applications based on customer feedback and user experience. On Monday January 26, 2026, we’ll be releasing an update to the Perimeter Mobile App to bring it into alignment with recent improvements made to the web application.

If your agency employs managed devices please ensure that Perimeter is updated in the device management Application library.

The following enhancements have been brought to the mobile app:

• Free-form Routes
  • Mobile users now have an option to create Free-form Routes, where anchor points can be placed freely without snapping to roads. This feature gives users the flexibility for marking fire trails, walking paths, or roads not yet mapped.
• Base Map Update
  • The base street map has been updated to Streets v12 from Open Street Maps. This update now matches the internal web and includes additional building footprints, location labels and roadways.
• General performance improvements
